ERAGON MOVIE

On friday the 13th, I went to downtown Seattle to go see Eragon (movie). It was a really good movie! My favorite part was when the Ra'zac ambushed Eragon, Saphira and Brom. One Ra'zac was fighting Brom and both the Ra'zac and Brom kept ducking under each other's swords. The thing that surprised me the most was when Eragon killed one of the Ra'zac. That never happened in the book!

Snowshoeing adventure

Friday, I went snowshoeing, with my mom, dad, and grandparents. We went to Gold Creek Basin to go snowshoeing and it was FUN! We went on a three mile hike around a pond that was half frozen. Halfway around, we stopped to have lunch on a small hill on the edge of the water. We had sandwiches, chocolate chips, hot chocolate and satsumas for lunch. Mom was JUST getting out her satsuma when she dropped it and it rolled INTO THE POND!!!! It was SO FUNNY!!!!!!! then we went around the rest of the way and met some kids sledding down a hill. By the time we got back to the truck, my legs felt like lead!

Snow stuff

In Seattle, it rarely snows. But the November of 2006 came with a surprise: You guessed it, snow! Since I don't get snow very often, snow is one of my favorite things! Even though I don't have a hill in my backyard, I still ride my sled. I've tried sledding in many ways: backwards, forwards, even standing on the sled in snowboarder stance. Like I said, I LOVE SNOW!!!

Who I Am and What I Like

My name is Matthew. I live in the Seattle Area. Some of my favorite things are my Chicken (Stretch), books, movies, Lego bricks, Lego Star Wars II(a CPU game), Cops + Robbers(a physical game), comics, Katsu(a food), singing, dragons, video filming, and pizza.

One of my favorite book series is the Eragon series. The movie comes out on 12/15/06. I'm so excited! The thing I like about Lego bricks is that you can build (almost) anything with them. I am notorius for taking Lego sets apart and rebuilding them into something else constantly. I keep on coming up with new ideas!

Sometimes I like to play on an electric keyboard. I am always (meaning when I play on the pianha) figuring out how to play the tunes I like. I like to sing, too. My two favorite songs are (in order that I like them) "Erie Canal" and "Mary Don't You Weep." Both are by Bruce Springsteen. Two of the kinds of singing I like are Sea Shanties and Call Singing. My favorite movies are Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, HELP!, and The Incredibles.

I like Cops + Robbers because it is an active game where you have to avoid the cops if you're a robber and catch the robbers if you're a cop. The game requires speed, skill, courage ande agility. I love the rush of adrenaline I feel when the game starts. Actually, I love it all. Fooling the cops when I'm a robber, and chasing the robbers when I'm a cop.
